The GBA was created for players of all skill levels with a focus on variety in gameplay. While competitive leagues exist where teams rely on the same 4-Out 1-In approach, we take a different route—we value everyone’s experience and believe that basketball should be engaging, dynamic, and fun to play and watch.

We’re not saying that the comp meta doesn’t work—it clearly does. But let’s be real: it gets boring to play against and even worse to watch on livestreams. Switch it up. Give your opponents different looks, experiment with your squad, and see what your teammates are capable of. Get creative, embrace the GBA storylines, stir up some WWE-style fake rivalries—make it fun.

The GBA is meant to be a tight-knit, sim-style 2K community—casual yet competitive, not a sweaty comp scene.

🔹 Sometimes, games will look ugly. Sometimes, they’ll look great. But most importantly, they’ll look like real team basketball.
🔹 Not everyone turns on their PS5 or spends their hard-earned money just to stand in the corner and watch a two-man show every possession.
🔹 If that’s your only way to play, there are comp leagues for that.

We all bought this game to have fun and try different things—so let’s see creativity and variety, not every team running the same system.

🚫 Offensive Setup: Spamming 4-Out 1-In or 5-Out for the entire game is NOT allowed. The GBA promotes offensive variety to keep defenses guessing and give every player a chance to contribute—not just watch one person “have fun.”

📌 Defensive Setup: Zone defense is not allowed, which adds value to lockdown defenders while also exposing weaker ones. Adjust accordingly!
